Meet Athena, a beautiful 8-year-old German Shepherd with a loving heart and a strong bond with her people.
Athena is a sweet and affectionate girl who enjoys human companionship and being part of family life. She is loyal to those she knows and loves, and would thrive in a home where she can feel safe, secure and surrounded by people who care for her.
Athena enjoys spending time with her family and is good with children. She would love a home where she can enjoy daily walks, plenty of companionship and quiet moments relaxing with her favourite people. She can be selective when it comes to other animals, so careful introductions are important when finding the right fit for her.
Athena can find being left alone difficult and may bark or whimper when she wants company. She has recently started medication to help manage her anxiety, which her family has found beneficial. She would suit a home where someone has the time to provide companionship, a consistent routine and the patience to help her settle comfortably into her new surroundings.
At 8 years old, Athena still has so much love to give. She is looking for a family who understands her needs, appreciates the loyalty of a German Shepherd and will give her a loving place to enjoy her golden years.
